Last Wednesday, Grandchamp Structure Design welcomed a distinguished visitor to its Repentigny branch. We are very proud to have received a visit from Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland.

In addition to welcoming her to our branch, our president, Bernard Grandchamp, along with five Lanaudière companies, were invited to join the Minister in a round table to discuss the challenges and opportunities that businesses face in international markets.

Furthermore, among all the companies present, Grandchamp Structure Design was selected for an industrial visit. This news was very flattering for our company and gave us the opportunity to present to the Minister our Lean corporate culture and ongoing projects. The Minister was able to try one of our CNC production machines and received an overview of our vinyl and metal production chain.

“Here, we don’t play golf, we play hockey,” Bernard explained to the Minister during the visit, a quote that clearly represents the team spirit that permeates our work. The Minister found Bernard’s quote fabulous and very inspiring. She also stressed her desire to reuse the quote during her own presentations.

This visit ended with a press briefing with a few journalists. This experience has enabled Grandchamp Structure Design to establish its presence as a Canadian SME that stands out in the niche market of all-season tents.
