  • The Context:
    At Grandchamp, we don’t just design products—we design structures that come to life around the world. We’re looking for a structured creator. Someone who enjoys turning ideas into concrete plans, and sketches into manufacturable realities. A mind that can innovate… but also optimize.

    You’ll be at the heart of product development—where creativity meets technical rigor, and vision meets feasibility. Reporting to the Production Director, you’ll play a key role in design, continuous improvement, and R&D for our four-season structures.

    This is a hands-on role. We design, test, and refine. You’ll collaborate with production, sales, logistics, and occasionally external engineering firms.

    If you enjoy problem-solving and optimization… keep reading.

    THE ROLE:

    • Design technical drawings for production, assembly, and installation
    • Prepare client renderings and visual presentations
    • Actively participate in Research & Development projects
    • Continuously optimize designs to reduce costs, improve assembly efficiency, and enhance manufacturability
    • Contribute to the development of mock-ups and prototypes
    • Collaborate with internal departments (sales, production, logistics) to ensure project alignment
    • Apply continuous improvement principles (Lean, 5S, PDCA, problem-solving)

    What success looks like:

    After 3 months ;

    • You master our design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Odoo…) and quickly understand the logic behind our products
    • You don’t just draw—you question
    • You observe installations, engage with production, and seek to understand on-site challenges
    • You are able to deliver clean, rigorous, and production-ready plans with minimal revisions
    • The team sees you as more than an executor—you’re a solid professional who understands manufacturing realities
    • You embrace our culture: here, we deliver a product we’re proud of

    After 6 months ;

  • You are autonomous in your projects—we trust you with complex mandates without micro-management
  • You actively propose improvements focused on:
    • cost reduction
    • assembly simplification
    • structural optimization
    • aesthetic and functional improvements
  • You are involved in strategic discussions related to new product development
  • Production consults you
  • Sales seek your input
  • You begin to influence design standards
  • You already embody a technical leadership role, even without the title

  • After 12 months;

    • You are a technical reference within the department
    • You master our products across their full lifecycle: from ideation to on-site installation
    • You make design decisions with a global perspective: cost, feasibility, robustness, brand image, and customer experience
    • You actively contribute to R&D and the evolution of our offering
    • You challenge our ways of doing things with rigor and data-driven insights
    • You naturally integrate Lean principles into your design approach
    • Your judgment is recognized
    • Your expertise is respected… and most importantly, your ideas become real products on the international market

    Qualifications and work experience:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or related field
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and adaptability
