Position: Production Worker (Vinyl)

Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day

Salary: $23–$25/hour

At Grandchamp, we manufacture all-season tents used throughout North America. Some of our tents are even bigger than a football field! Our products are designed right here, in our brand-new production facility in Repentigny. And no… it’s not a noisy, impersonal “big production shop.” Our work environment is clean, bright, organized, and surprisingly quiet for a manufacturing setting.

We work as a team in a friendly atmosphere where people talk to one another, help each other out, and take pride in what they make. Since our products are very niche and specialized, we train people directly in-house. You don’t need to know anything about vinyl or tents before you start here.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be involved in various stages of manufacturing our vinyl canopies and tent components:

·        Inspection and quality control of parts

·        Assembling different sections of vinyl using our production equipment

·        Preparing orders

·        Folding, packing, and handling the vinyl canopies

·        Providing support for various tasks within the department as needed

The work is primarily performed while standing and requires good physical fitness, especially when handling large vinyl panels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Ability to take initiative

·        Good physical condition

·        Team spirit

·        At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

What does success look like for you:

After 3 months: You understand how the department works overall and are able to identify manufacturing defects and operate various pieces of equipment independently.

After 6 months: You’ll actively contribute to improvements in the department. You’ll propose ideas, help solve problems, and develop your versatility.

After 12 months: You’ll become a trusted member of the team. You’ll have mastered several stages of production and may even mentor new hires as needed.
