Position: Warehouse worker
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible day shift between 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Salary: $25–$27 per hour
THE POSITION:
You’re a hands-on, physically fit person who enjoys a variety of tasks and fast-paced environments. Comfortable operating a forklift, you’ll help load trucks while ensuring quantities are accurate. You’ll work both inside and outside the warehouse and actively contribute to improving the organization of workspaces with your ideas.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Quantity and quality control of materials. • Order fulfillment. • Loading and unloading trucks. • Operating forklifts. • Warehouse reorganization and inventory taking. • Truck driving – Class 5 (pickup trucks, pickup trucks with trailers, 16-foot and 20-foot trucks). • Warehouse reorganization and inventory taking.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience in an SME setting
• Class 5 driver's license
• Good physical condition: ability to easily lift loads of 50 lbs
• Forklift experience or certification (a plus)
What success looks like:
After 3 months ;
You have completed your forklift training. You have a good grasp of the various steps in the loading process. You are able to classify most parts into their correct categories
After 6 months
You've reached a level where you can handle all loading tasks on your own. Some parts are still a mystery to you, but don't worry... you'll get the hang of it soon.
After 12 months:
You have virtually all the technical knowledge needed to handle unexpected issues during loading. You are able to find replacement parts and plan a loading schedule.
