Position:  CNC Machinist

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6h-14h30, 40 hours per week

Salary: $25/hour to $35/hour, depending on skills and experience

YOUR MISSION:

Reporting to the production supervisor, you will be responsible for operating, configuring, and optimizing various metal fabrication machines to produce components that meet quality and production requirements. You will primarily work with our CNC machines, our Laser Tube, and our plasma cutting equipment. Thanks to your independence, curiosity, and analytical skills, you will help solve day-to-day technical challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing methods at our new plant.

 

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

         Operate, configure, and adjust various metal fabrication equipment

         Perform the necessary setup and adjustments based on the production requirements

         Operate CNC equipment, the Laser Tube, and plasma cutting equipment

         Make the necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards

         Diagnose and resolve first-level production or equipment issues

         Participate in process optimization and the continuous improvement of manufacturing methods

         Collaborate on testing, implementing, and learning new equipment or processes

         Perform the required assembly work according to work instructions

         Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, tools, and measuring instruments

         Perform daily preventive maintenance on equipment

         Comply with health and safety procedures and proper handling practices

         Complete the required reports and tracking sheets

         Perform any other tasks related to the position

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

         Degree in machining techniques or equivalent relevant experience

         At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.

         Experience operating and adjusting manufacturing equipment

         Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

         High degree of independence and resourcefulness

         Technical curiosity and a desire to learn

         Excellent problem-solving skills

         Attention to detail and quality

         Ability to adapt to a changing environment

 

What success looks like:

After 3 months : You have mastered daily operations, setups, and the company’s quality standards. You are comfortable with our equipment and work methods, and you contribute effectively to production.

After 6 months :You manage your work independently, suggest improvements to manufacturing methods, and actively participate in optimizing processes, programs, and equipment.

After 12 months :You have become a technical leader on the team. You participate in the development of new projects and the integration of new equipment, and you make a tangible contribution to the growth of the machining department and our new plant.
