Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (flexible schedule)
Starting Salary: $32–$34/hour

You are resourceful, detail-oriented, and not afraid to take initiative on a project. You enjoy having a variety of tasks. You are skilled in MIG and Argon welding. You will work in a workshop transforming different metals, as well as performing some related production tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire process of the part (cutting, cleaning, drilling, and welding the piece)
  • Proficiency in acetylene cutting
  • Fill out daily report sheets
  • Handle shipping and receiving of goods
  • Use tools such as: metal press, miter saw, band saw, drill press, grinder, drill, table saw, circular saw, etc.
  • Perform any other related tasks

What Success Looks Like:

  • In 3 months: You master welding all parts. You understand the process from sales to delivery, including production.
  • In 6 months: You master cutting different types of parts and are familiar with all tasks in the other stations within your department.
  • In 12 months: You are a go-to resource! You are able to train new recruits when needed because you master all steps of the job as well as the various tools and machines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Welding and Fitting
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a welding position
  • Ability to distinguish between different types of metals
  • Good physical condition and fast execution skills
  • Ability to read blueprints (imperial system)
